SSR stands for Students Social Responsibility . Every student in our college has to do a project as a part of SSR in the third year of graduation.
The words Social and Responsibility together were not really that appealing , but by the end of the semester it did make us all feel very accomplished .My team's topic was Soil Testing in Government labs and Awareness campaign for local farmers in Kollam district. Through our small endeavor , we met a lot of wonderful farmers performing selfless deeds for the earth and the future . They didn't expect anything in return . Most of them qualified and well educated . Some retired and looking forward to spend the rest of their years happily farming. Of the 7 farms we visited , we came through 10 -12 varities of crops and 4-5 different methods of farming , but all of the farmers had two things in common : Their love for the soil and their willingness to help us !

Teamwork was great fun and working at the farms was an endearing experience ...but what I loved the most was the making of this video : 1st time thrill !!
